Do the "speak positively about yourself" challenge with me!
There are times I want to beat myself up for beating myself up with negative thoughts. Or while listening to someone else, blow them up (with divine light and love of course) because of all the negative statements that are pouring out of them in conversation.
Do you feel me? Do you catch yourself as well?
My friends, family, and clients are so used to me saying "cancel cancel" or "delete delete" after saying something negative slips out of my mouth.
Study shows that more than 80% of our thoughts are negative and typically stemming from fear instead of love.
Think about it.
If you even consciously take over 10% of these thoughts and shift to positive words to promote self-love, your life could drastically improve.
This is why I invite you to get on board with me. Be in the "speak positively about yourself challenge. " #talkpositive
1- First, I'll invite you to tag all of your friends below and share this with them. We can all hold each other accountable.
Next, for one-month minimum, hopefully most of forever, the goal is to stop ourselves catching each other as well when the negativity starts pouring out.
Note, this challenge can be for negative thoughts that might pop up or for vocalized negativity.
We're getting conscious of our words and thoughts.
When you're talking to someone and say anything negative, absolutely anything, the first thing you're going to do is say out loud "delete delete".
2- If you want to take it up another level as I do, create two X's with your arms to block out the statement previously made.
Then lovingly reframe it into a positive, encouraging, and loving statement.
For example, let's say you're in a conversation and find yourself saying,
"I am crazy busy right now."
First, state "Delete delete."
3- Then reframe the statement into something such as, "I am in high demand."
"I am exhausted."
State "Delete delete".
Make the X's with your arms for extra oomph.
Shift and restate, "I am getting reenergized."
Sometimes, you may be at a loss of words for how to reframe a negative statement to positive. In those events, don't worry, we can still cancel them out.
State "delete delete" after the negative comment with the X's of arms.
Then state a positive comment about yourself- anything that you can think of.
If you find yourself more often in the space where you can't think of something to shift to, figure out a few go-to positive statements about who you are that you can state immediately without overthinking about it.
Example: "I love my smile."
The goal is to make this an instantaneous response and shift.
Remember to invite your community, friends, and your family for involvement because You can take a village to hold us to a higher level of positive thoughts and vice versa.
